NANSLO is an international collaborative partnership among post secondary institutions in the U.S. and Canada.

Representatives of the NANSLO partners serve on the NANSLO advisory board which provides the overall vision and direction for the network’s effort.  The NANSLO leadership team has responsibility for its operations.  Faculty from the institutional partners involved in current initiatives serve on the expert discipline panels. Together, they collaborate in the development of creative approaches for delivering science lab exercises online, building open access curriculum, and providing research and insights into meeting the needs of online science students. Industry partners play a key role in supporting NANSLO nodes production and development efforts.

NANSLO was formed as a result of a Next Generation Learning Challenges initiative that started in March 2011 and ended in December 2012.
For more information on the NGLC initiative, see the NANSLO website.  One of the NGLC project goals was to develop openly available curriculum and laboratory experiments.  Three first semester NANSLO open core courses and laboratory experiments for Biology, Physics, Chemistry varennes.jpgare now available for broad use.  Visit the NGLC project wiki for more information.

As of October 1, 2012 NANSLO is a partner of the Consortium for Healthcare Education Online (CHEO).
