Workshop Notes
Discipline Panel members: do these notes appear correct? If you have any suggestions, revisions, corrections or thoughts, please add a comment (in box below) or post a message to the listserv.
From discipline panel teleconference on June 30 2011 it was decided:
- the group agreed that the breadth & depth of topics covered in BCcampus & CCCS courses appeared very (i.e. = or > 80% agreement) similar. For NANSLO curriculum development, we will loosely follow the topics as listed in the BCcampus course.
- both textbooks listed in the course comparison chart (Kotz & Treichel at BCcampus; Kelter, Mosher & Scott at CCCS) are good content sources although CCCS Chemistry may also adopt the Kotz textbook in the near future. The course we develop for NANSLO will be organized according to topics & not strictly structured to fit a specific textbook.
